is the little Antonio Bible, Tan Solo un Actor by Gloria Fernandez
and Ana Oliva, certainly an authority on Antonio's early life
(thanks again, Sharon C. for obtaining a copy!). My hope is someday
this great little book will be available in English with an update
and notes for cultural references that are obscure to the non-Spaniard
(although Paulo did a great job in apprising us of these references).
For those of you who have the Kathleen Tracy American paperback
biography, there is no comparison. It's enough to say that's Tracy's
name is signed to a Globe article entitled "Melanie's Spanish
Inquisition" to understand that the Tracy book has many obvious
errors. The Tracy book has not been used as a reference
for the Web Mall. |
