Antonio plays a smooth and
sexy young gigilo who will do anything for money so he can
take his beloved young brother to Baton Rouge. This film has
plenty of plot twists. Antonio's character (also called Antonio)
becomes involved with Isabel Harris (Carmen Maura), a mature,
intelligent and very rich woman who suffers from terrible
nightmares. Antonio's encounter with Isabel is the great opportunity
that he has been waiting for. Antonio and Ana (Victoria Abril),
Isabel's psychiatrist, plan the perfect crime. But, Antonio
tragically realizes too late that the two women are really
setting him up.

This is Antonio's third film with
Carmen Maura and first with Victoria Abril.
Antonio does a very brief scene of
full frontal nudity in this film as well as some steamy sex scenes
with both actresses.
The director of this film had been
one of Pedro Almodovar's assistant directors in Almodovar's early
films.
After Baton Rouge
had finished shooting, Antonio and Carmen then did a television
episode together -- La Mujer Feliz (The Happy Woman)
in the series La Mujer de tu Vida (The Woman of Your
Life).
