This is Antonio's first starring role in a film. Antonio plays Paco "el del Molino" (of the mill), a rural trade unionist who runs into conflict with the town's boss. As men belonging to the union are rounded up and shot, Paco flees to the hills where he is aided by a priest. Eventually he is persuaded to come back into the town where he is murdered.

The film did not enjoy critical success but Antonio's performance was well received.
