Three Shrek movies later, and we’ve reached The Final Chapter in “Shrek Forever After”. We’ve seen Shrek transform from the evil ogre who finds and rescues his one true love, Fiona, to a domesticated family man complete with wife and kids. Along the way we’ve watched the trials and tribulations as his friendship with Donkey and Puss In Boots developed. Gone is the ogre who once scared the villagers and Shrek now finds himself longing for the days when he felt like a ‘real ogre’.

Along comes Rumpelstiltskin with a “plan” to bring excitement back into Shrek’s life. After being duped into signing the contract Rumpelstiltskin has drawn up, he is suddenly whisked to an alternate version of Far, Far Away where ogres are fair game, he’s never met Fiona and Rumpelstiltskin is now the king. He quickly realizes his mistake and it is up to him to change things back, save his friends and reclaim his life with Fiona.

“Shrek Forever After” was chosen to be the opening film of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in 2010.
